Dancing
On Common Ground - features wonderful music and exciting
choreography, but it's the talent, enthusiasm and energy of the
cast that make the show spectacular.
Each
one of these cast members embodies that quality.
Ashley
Bledsoe - is new to the cast but not to dancing.
As a solo and with her dance partner Brad Berry, this 16
year old has won dozens of competitions.
Ashley and the Berry brothers are just three of the award
winning dancers trained by JoAnne’s School of Dance in Marion,
Ohio.
Brad
Berry - loves clogging and singing country music. He
has won six national clogging competitions, has performed at the
Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and opened for a number of
distinguished country artists.
Bryan
Berry - is Brad's twin. When Bryan was 12, he saw
Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and video on TV.
He immediately called his mother at work saying "Mom, if I
got tap dance lessons I think I could do that too."
Thus, a career was born. Bryan has won numerous
competitions and performed onstage with the legendary taper
Gregory Hines.
Michael
Boyle - At six this Bostonian became involved with
Irish music and dance keeping alive the tradition of his close
knit Irish and Scottish family. Dancing has taken Michael
throughout North America, Ireland, Scotland and Australia
performing at many festivals and competitions and capturing
countless local, national, and international titles.
Selected to dance with such Celtic superstars as Solas,
Natalie MacMaster, The Clancy Brothers and John he
most recently has been touring with the foremost traditional
Irish band, Cherish the Ladies. Michael has been featured
on the Discover Channel, ESPN’s Sportcenter, and
NBA Inside Stuff. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
History from Saint Anselm College and presently works for an
Australian based manufacture of restorative dental materials.
Adrienne
Collins (vocalist).
This 16 year old from Delaware, Ohio auditioned after she
saw Common Ground for the first time.
Too young then to join the cast she sang where ever she
could in order to get performing experience and took as many
classes as her school would allow so she could finish high
school in record time. She’s
7 credits away from graduating with honors.
Ashley
Fierros - was 4 when she started dancing. She has won
5 national titles and numerous regional titles with the
clogging team "Southern Exposure" which she
co-directs in choreographs. Ashley is in the "National
Clogging Hall of Fame" and is a member of the "All
Star NCHC Clogging Team". In 1998 and 1999 she
was a cheerleader for the "Tampa Day Buccaneers".
She once again gets to share the stage with her best friend and
dance partner of 16 years, Kristy Puffer.
Jamie
Fitzpatrick - has been dancing for 17 years and is a member
of the "Hoedown Council National All Star Team".
Jamie has many solo awards for freestyle and 1st place team
awards. Jamie developed a severe case of stage fright,
causing him to retire from dancing for two years. He
overcame that fear to join the cast of "Common
Ground".
Catherine
Honan - is a championship Irish dancer from Watertown, New
York. Kathy has been dancing for 7 years, winning top
awards at regional, national and world Irish dancing
competitions.
Lisa
Hunt
discovered Irish dancing after 15 years as a ballerina.
She auditioned for Common Ground by performing in the
show when it appeared in her hometown of Norfolk, VA.
Hired on the spot, Lisa joined the cast this season.
When not on tour she studies and performs with The
Reel Thing directed by Irish dance teacher Heather Esposito.
Joe
Mohar
- is
a former member of the North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble (NYCTE)
founded and directed by Gene Medler.
This group is recognized world wide as today’s premier
tap company. Like
other graduates of NYCTE, Joe manages to combine a busy schedule
teaching in Asheville, NC with professional choreography duties
and special appearances with Common Ground - of which he’s
an original cast member.
Kristy
Puffer - (Dance Captain) never met a dance step she didn't
life. Dancing almost as soon as she could walk, she has
won more than 185 1st place and Grand Championship titles (she
stopped counting in 1998) and has appeared at Disney World,
Sea World, Opryland, Dollywood, Hee Haw,
Grand Ol' Opry, and Star Search. Kristy is a
member of the "National Clogging Hall of Fame"
and co-directs and choreographs the award winning "Southern
Exposure" clogging team. Kristy is also a
cheerleader for the "Tampa Bay Storm" and an
honors student listed in the "Who's Who of Students in
America". |
